Field Service Engineer
You’ll be Inti’s field service engineer in the Dallas area, working on commercial and utility-scale solar inverters and battery storage systems. Much of the work is SMA warranty service (diagnosing faults, replacing components and documenting every job) alongside out-of-warranty repairs, retrofits, commissioning and remote support.
What you’ll do
Troubleshoot and repair central inverters, string inverters and battery storage equipment on site
Replace power, control and cooling components and record old and new serial numbers
Support commissioning: pre-energization checks, startup and functional testing
Review inverter service data and event logs to plan repairs and help customers remotely
Write clear service reports with readings and photos
Follow lockout/tagout, arc-flash and site safety procedures on every job
Travel to sites across Texas and to other states as jobs require
What you bring
Hands-on experience with inverters, power electronics or industrial electrical equipment
Confident with a multimeter, clamp meter and insulation tester, and with reading electrical schematics
Working knowledge of lockout/tagout and arc-flash safety
A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Able to work outdoors in Texas heat, lift heavy components and work in tight enclosures
Willing to travel, including overnight stays
Nice to have
SMA or Sungrow factory training
NFPA 70E, OSHA 10 and CPR certification
Experience with battery storage or utility-scale solar commissioning
An associate degree or technical certificate in electrical or electronics
